Julie is an Authorized Marriage Commissioner appointed by the Government of Alberta. She is thrilled to officiate at about 200 civil wedding ceremonies each year. Whether a couple chooses to have a large ceremony at an exclusive venue complete with many attendants and guests, a small private ceremony with two witnesses under the decorated arch in her wedding space, or something in between, Julie’s services are professional, personal and prompt.

Since receiving her first government appointment in October 2005, Julie has been a full-time Marriage Commissioner. Before becoming a wedding officiant Julie spent over 10 years writing, speaking and facilitating workshops in the personal development field. She wrote a book entitled, The Way Home: An Inner Path to Conscious Living, her bi-weekly column was published in the St. Albert Gazette for over a decade, she presented workshops for the staff at educational institutions such as Northern Alberta Institute of Technology and Grant MacEwan Community College, and she spoke at teachers' conventions throughout the province. To provide opportunities for women to learn, connect, rejuvenate, and have fun, Julie also organized and hosted six women’s weekend retreats.
